Raheem Sterling no longer has a place at Chelsea under manager Enzo Maresca. |
According to Bild , Sterling has been in fairly positive talks with Fulham recently. Although West Ham United have also expressed interest in the player, Hammers feel the Chelsea midfielder is leaning more towards a move to Fulham in the January 2026 transfer window.
Although West Ham showed clear interest in signing the player, Fulham were the team that made the more substantial offer, including paying the majority of his salary and being willing to include a buyout clause.
Sterling, 31, remains with Chelsea under contract until 2027. The English midfielder was loaned to Arsenal last season but has yet to make an appearance this season under manager Enzo Maresca.
Since the start of the season, Sterling has been training separately, completely isolated from the Chelsea first team. He wasn't even included in the club's official photoshoot for the 2025/26 season. During the time he wasn't playing or training with Chelsea, Sterling trained almost entirely alone.
Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 for £47.5 million and currently has two years remaining on his contract worth over £300,000 per week. Sterling previously rejected Napoli, Bayern Munich, and several London clubs to stay closer to his family. A move to Fulham would ensure Sterling's life isn't disrupted too much.
