The mission of higher education institutions

One of the key tasks set forth by Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation for the higher education system in Vietnam is to develop a system of national key research and testing centers and laboratories, focusing on strategic technologies.

Simultaneously, we need to establish several advanced training schools and centers specializing in artificial intelligence. We must develop a team of lecturers and scientists with sufficient competence and qualifications to teach in the fields of basic science, semiconductor chip technology, integrated circuits, and key engineering and technologies; strengthen cooperation with prestigious foreign universities; and significantly innovate training programs according to international standards, modernize training methods, and apply advanced technologies, especially artificial intelligence...

To fulfill this mission, three major higher education institutions in Vietnam – Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; and Hanoi University of Science and Technology – recently signed a cooperation agreement to leverage the potential and strengths of each institution in talent training, scientific research, technology transfer, innovation, and digital transformation for the development of each party, contributing to the development of the country's education, training, and science and technology. Some of the areas of cooperation that these three universities will focus on include: training high-quality, highly skilled human resources; collaborating on core technology research and the development of strategic technology products, linked to attracting talent, investment, and business cooperation…

In Dong Nai , Dong Nai University of Technology recently held the inauguration ceremony for its Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics Technology Center (AIBOT) to promote the implementation of Resolution No. 57 and open opportunities for Dong Nai students to access artificial intelligence (AI) and modern technology in the future. Prior to this, Lac Hong University put into operation its Semiconductor Microcircuit Practice Room and signed cooperation agreements with many domestic and international partners to strongly develop modern training programs to meet the province's need for high-quality human resources.

This is a concrete step taken by higher education institutions in Dong Nai in putting Resolution 57 into practice, viewing the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation as a top priority breakthrough to drive the country's rapid development and prosperity.
