On the morning of June 28th, traffic through Dai Lao and Loc Chau communes (Bao Loc City) was one-way only. Hundreds of vehicles traveling from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City lined up, stretching for about 4km from the B'Lao Sre intersection (Dai Lao commune) to the center of Loc Chau commune.
On the Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat route, traffic was also severely congested, stretching for more than 3km, from the B'Lao Srê intersection to the area around the Virgin Mary statue on the Bao Loc pass.

The reason is that the culvert at the B'Lao Srê intersection (Dai Lao commune) had to be repaired unexpectedly, causing vehicles to only travel in one direction under the regulation and guidance of traffic police.
This traffic congestion started at 2 AM this morning and shows no signs of easing. On average, each vehicle takes 1 to 1.5 hours to travel through the Bao Loc pass.

The traffic police team stationed at Bao Loc Pass, under the Madagui Station of the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department's Traffic Police Division, deployed numerous officers to regulate, reroute, and guide vehicles to move in an orderly manner through the culvert under repair. Due to the rain and the heavy traffic on the weekend, traffic regulation and rerouting faced many difficulties.

Emergency repairs to the culvert at the B'Lao Srê intersection on National Highway 20 commenced in late June 2025. In addition to this location, the Bảo Lộc pass has recently experienced frequent and prolonged traffic congestion due to repairs to the Bảo Lộc 2 bridge. The peak was on June 8th, when traffic on National Highway 20 and the Bảo Lộc pass was blocked for over 10km, lasting for many hours.
