In his essay, writer Nguyen Bac Son called Tam Dao "An island amidst a sea of clouds," writing: "Climbing over 1,400 steps up the Television Tower, looking across, you see Thai Nguyen , and in the distance, the poetic lake on the mountain that inspired the beautiful poem and melody for the legend of Ho Nui Coc by the renowned musician Pho Duc Phuong. On that side, there will also be a sea of fluffy clouds lapping at the foot of Tam Dao..."
