In winter, Tam Dao possesses a magical charm, its dreamy beauty with lingering mist and gentle chill evoking a range of emotions in every visitor. In Tam Dao, visitors feel as if they are seeing a miniature Europe through its impressive architecture, the shimmering paths beneath the trees, the flickering charcoal fires... all sparkling and enchanting in the night mist.

The song "Returning to Vinh Phuc Today" by composer Trong Bang still resonates with poignant emotion: "Returning to Vinh Phuc today / Clouds float gently over Tam Dao…". Tam Dao has also been described by poets and writers with many beautiful and poetic terms, such as "The Cloud Maiden of the North," "Tam Dao shrouded in mist"...

In his essay, writer Nguyen Bac Son called Tam Dao "An island amidst a sea of clouds," writing: "Climbing over 1,400 steps up the Television Tower, looking across, you see Thai Nguyen , and in the distance, the poetic lake on the mountain that inspired the beautiful poem and melody for the legend of Ho Nui Coc by the renowned musician Pho Duc Phuong. On that side, there will also be a sea of fluffy clouds lapping at the foot of Tam Dao..."

In winter, the weather is colder, but that doesn't deter tourists from visiting Tam Dao. Hotels and restaurants offer views of the endless expanse of clouds stretching along the square, creating a dreamy perspective for visitors…; both domestic and foreign tourists long to visit Tam Dao at least once to witness the falling mist. A Vietnamese expatriate flew from France back to Saigon, then continued his flight to Noi Bai Airport, and traveled to Tam Dao town hoping to enjoy a warm cup of coffee while admiring the white mist covering the sky… He shared that only Tam Dao has such a captivating blend of mist and cold that stirs the heart.

The trend of experiencing the misty mountain scenery of Tam Dao has become a fascinating specialty. This winter, Tam Dao also transforms, with golden lights strung along the streets, creating a sparkling and enchanting atmosphere. Restaurants like Pho May and Pho Mua are popular choices for tourists to enjoy local specialties while admiring the mist.

Cafes like Moonlight, Castle, Mountain Wind, Wind's Shop, Tropical Cafe… also attract tourists with their dreamy scenery amidst the clouds; all are decorated to open up spaces for exploring the unique culture of the San Diu ethnic group in Tam Dao, attracting visitors to learn about and take pictures to capture beautiful moments…

Rock Cafe is a must-visit destination for tourists coming to Tam Dao. Here, visitors can sip a warm, fragrant cup of coffee amidst centuries-old pine trees, watching the mist blend with the green of the mountains and forests…

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh (Hanoi) shared: “Winter in Tam Dao is truly beautiful, with scenery like a painting, Western European architecture from hotels and restaurants appearing hazy in the mist, and the golden lights sparkling magically; then there's the experience of sitting by the glowing charcoal stoves, enjoying local dishes on the streets, listening to music echoing from the trees and walking in the falling mist… it's a wonderful feeling!”

Village 2 of the town also attracts visitors with its warmly designed homestays, charming little rooms decorated with many lights, romantic photo spots, and music shows held on weekend evenings. Tam Dao now has a different look than before, more beautiful and magnificent… from the scenery to the services that keep pace with modern trends to meet the needs of tourists.

Here, visitors can enjoy local specialties, listen to music, and immerse themselves in the breathtaking scenery.
