On June 3rd, the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police announced that they had issued an administrative violation report and temporarily detained a passenger bus carrying 38 people because the driver was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Accordingly, at approximately 2 PM on June 3rd, at Km 11+900 on Provincial Road 695, in Ea Hiao commune, Patrol Team No. 2 of the Ea H'Leo Traffic Police Team (Krong Buk Traffic Police Station, Dak Lak Provincial Police Department) stopped and inspected a passenger bus with license plate 37B-022.61 operating on the Binh Duong (formerly, now Ho Chi Minh City) - Nghe An route.
At the time of inspection, the driver was Mr. THC (born in 1986, residing in Nghe An province), carrying 38 passengers.
Upon inspection, authorities discovered that the driver violated regulations regarding blood alcohol concentration while operating a vehicle. The measurement showed that the driver's breath alcohol concentration was 0.230 mg/l, which is within the limit of 0.25 mg/l.
For the above offense, the driver was fined between 18 and 20 million VND and had 10 points deducted from his driver's license according to current regulations. The task force issued an administrative violation report and temporarily seized the vehicle for processing according to regulations.
To ensure the safety of passengers, the traffic police coordinated with the vehicle owner and the Ea H'Leo Bus Station to arrange another vehicle to continue transporting the 38 passengers to their destination safely.
