To serve the verification of citizens' reflections, Bac Ninh General Hospital No. 1 has decided to temporarily suspend work for 1 official, who is the Head Nurse on duty, in the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Department; 1 labor contract as a driver transporting patients in the Administration Department and 1 labor contract as a nurse escorting patients in the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Department.

Previously, on August 15, Mr. NV T, born in 1977, a freelance worker, was seriously ill and was taken to the emergency room at Bac Ninh General Hospital No. 1 in critical condition and had to be treated in the Intensive Care Unit.

According to the patient's family, on August 19, the family asked to take Mr. T back to his hometown for convenient care and funeral arrangements. After completing the procedures and signing the commitment, the family asked for a hospital car to transport him back, and a doctor assisted in contacting an ambulance outside to transfer the patient to Thai Nguyen .

When they arrived, the driver quoted 22 million VND, but because the family was in financial difficulty, he reduced the price to 21 million VND, including 4 million VND for the doctor who accompanied them in the car. Because the family had not agreed on the price before the transport, they paid in full.

After finishing the funeral for Mr. T, on August 25, patient T's daughter contacted the driver and he confirmed that he had charged the correct price. Immediately after that, Ms. T shared information about this transportation fee on Facebook and received a lot of attention.

At 8:00 p.m. on August 25, the driver contacted and returned 15 million VND and an additional 1 million VND for incense offerings to Mr. T. On August 26, the leaders of Bac Ninh General Hospital No. 1 and the bus company came to apologize to the family for this incident.

After receiving the information, on August 26, the Bac Ninh Department of Health requested Bac Ninh General Hospital No. 1 to quickly inspect and verify the incident; clarify the responsibilities of related individuals and organizations, especially whether or not there was collusion between hospital staff and outside transportation services for profit; if violations are detected, they must be strictly handled according to current regulations and the results must be reported to the Department as soon as possible.
