Soobin expresses generational statement at 8Wonder: Vietnamese artists are capable of standing shoulder to shoulder internationally

Appearing at the 8Wonder music festival on the night of August 23 as an “all-round talent” of V-pop, Soobin showed his unlimited “destructive power” with a rich setlist, combining many music genres from traditional to modern. He is also a vivid image of a new generation of Vietnamese artists: confident, brave and capable enough to stand on par with international names.

Like a mighty, sublime firebird

Opening his performance with a vibrant intro, Soobin made the 8Wonder stage explode with enthusiastic cheers from thousands of spectators. In a stylized ao dai and a hand fan reminiscent of national identity, he stepped out like a "prince" bringing Vietnamese culture to the world . The first melodies of Nguoi Viet, Nguoi Nguoi Man Thuyen resounded among the crowd, evoking pride and strong emotions.

Pausing between performances, the artist emotionally shared his honor of representing Vietnamese music to interact with international friends, especially in the sacred atmosphere of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. "I am proud to be Vietnamese," Soobin said. Then he turned to the audience and asked loudly: "What about you, are you proud?", and immediately received a thunderous response from more than 50,000 people - a memorable moment of national spirit.

The atmosphere continued to be pushed to a climax with the mashup of Trong Com – Nguoi Viet. Keywords such as “heroic”, “crazy”, “wake up and go from the dark foggy place” were emphasized like a heroic call. Not only performing, Soobin also continuously interacted, stirred up the audience and then suddenly announced to give away his signature monochord, causing the stage to explode with excitement.

But that's only half of Soobin. The other half quickly appeared on stage with a completely different color: romantic, modern, explosive. The artist played the piano passionately in May, then transformed with a series of vibrant EDM and pop songs: Daydreams, Dancing in the Dark, BlackJack, SuperStar... He sang, danced, played instruments, turning himself into a brave "firebird", the more he flew, the more he burned, the more he explored , the more he sublimated.

This is not only a personal effort, but also the result of a gradually maturing music industry, where Vietnamese artists have begun to step out into the world with their own artistic language.

Soobin is a “piece” in the journey that 8Wonder is creating, bringing Vietnamese culture into the global flow with worthy representatives. And his dignified and radiant presence on that stage is a strong affirmation that: the dream of “Made in Vietnam – Heard Worldwide” is no longer a vision, but has begun to become a reality.

From the brightly lit stage of 8Wonder, the audience not only saw Soobin transforming between music genres, but also saw the silhouettes of many young Vietnamese artists who are constantly breaking their own limits. They are proof that: Vietnamese artists are ready to stand shoulder to shoulder, not only "appear" but also "shine" with big names in the world with their own unique artistic voice, carrying the Vietnamese spirit.

8Wonder, with its strategy of gathering and accompanying young Vietnamese talents, is acting as a "launching platform" where Vietnamese artists can express themselves, be challenged and mature. And Soobin's brilliance is the first optimistic signal that the journey of conquering the international music scene of Vietnam is no longer a "dream" but a process that is taking place in reality, systematically and with great promise.
