Performances by the wives of the Ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Japan, Ukraine and the United States... with collections by Vietnamese designers
Selected as one of the three key events of the festival, “Heritage Footsteps” with the theme “Colors of Vietnam, Rhythms of the World ” honors the beauty of Vietnamese culture and expands the journey of international exchange.
The program brings together 19 traditional and contemporary collections from 19 countries, including special performances by the wives of the Ambassadors of Japan, Czech Republic, Ukraine and the United States. Each collection is a cultural story, expressing the spirit of integration and respect for national identity.
With the guidance of MC Kim Nguyen Bao and Khanh Vy, the program was elaborately staged by director Hoang Cong Cuong, combining 3D mapping technology, modern sound and light, creating eye-catching stage effects. The opening was the collection "HaNoi in Hanoi" by designer Vu Viet Ha, followed by "Heritage in Hanoi" by designer Anh Thu (Ngan An), where Vietnamese beauty was recreated through Bat Trang ceramic motifs, conical hats and lotus souls in Trinh Cong Son's music .
The performance of traditional Vietnamese costumes such as "Van Yen Weaving - Mi Xiem Y", "Thang Long - Time Mark", "Moon Flower" along with traditional costumes of the continents created a colorful cultural harmony picture imbued with friendship.
The most touching part of the night was the art auction to raise funds to support people in flood-affected areas. The painting “Ancient Cheo and the sound of kite flute on the golden field” by artist Ngo Ba Hoang was successfully auctioned bySHB Bank and T&T Group for 1 billion VND. Together with 5 costumes and other items, the total amount of 2.5 billion VND will be sent to localities affected by floods to build houses, schools and civil works.
The painting was successfully auctioned by SHB Bank and T&T Group for 1 billion VND.
Director Hoang Cong Cuong shared: “The festival is where 48 countries tell cultural stories at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, bringing Vietnamese heritage to the world and spreading messages of friendship, creativity and compassion.”
The World Culture Festival in Hanoi, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee from October 10 to 12, brings together 45 national cultural spaces, 34 food stalls, 23 art troupes and 22 countries participating in the international film screening program.
