On August 26, a representative of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that the center will continue to organize solutions to strengthen the protection of relics and artifacts managed by the unit.

Currently, the center is assigned to manage 43 relic sites, with 22 relic sites displaying and exhibiting many artifacts; of which 12 artifacts/sets of artifacts (with 38 individual artifacts) are recognized as National Treasures.

The protection of relics is always focused on with a modern and suitable security and monitoring system; the protection and preservation of artifacts meet scientific standards and ensure the purpose of promoting heritage values.

However, nowadays there are more and more factors and risks that can affect and damage historical monuments and artifacts.

These risks come from many causes such as the impact of extreme weather, the risk of fire or explosion or natural degradation over time, especially unintentional and intentional human impacts.

In the coming time, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center will adjust and add hard or soft fences and tempered glass at some locations to limit the range of contact, ensuring the safety of artifacts and the solemnity of the monument.

Such as in the areas: the Nine Cannons house; the place displaying bells, drums and the main door in the middle of Ngu Phung tower (Ngo Mon); the system of bronze cauldrons; some architectural works belonging to the tomb of King Gia Long, the tomb of King Minh Mang, the tomb of King Khai Dinh, the tomb of King Dong Khanh...

At the The To Mieu relic (Hue Imperial City) - the place to worship the Nguyen Dynasty kings, to ensure solemnity, the center will adjust to only allow visits from the outside with the plan of placing a fence outside the shrine and only opening the middle doors of The To Mieu.

The Hue Monuments Conservation Center has arranged an altar in front of The To Temple for visitors to offer incense and has organized an exhibition to introduce, provide information and images about The To Temple located at Hien Lam Cac.

At Minh Thanh Palace (Gia Long King's tomb), the plan for visiting the interior of the palace will be adjusted for groups of up to 10 people with polite attire. In case visitors' attire is not suitable, the center will provide ao dai to serve...

In addition, the Center will also continue to coordinate with local authorities where the relic is located to ensure security and order in the area; coordinate with the religious establishment - Thien Mu Pagoda to develop regulations on coordination in protecting relics, artifacts and national treasures.
