Lam Son's heroic spirit shines with Thanh Hoa's aspiration to rise up

VHO - On the morning of October 13, at the Lam Kinh National Special Relic Site (Thanh Hoa), thousands of people and tourists attended the Lam Kinh Festival 2025, commemorating the 607th anniversary of the Lam Son uprising, the 597th anniversary of King Le Thai To's coronation, and the 592nd anniversary of the death of National Hero Le Loi. In the sacred atmosphere of the "spiritual land of talented people", the festival is an occasion to pay tribute to the merits of ancestors, arousing the Lam Son spirit and the aspiration to rise of Thanh land today.

The festival opens with the procession of King Le Thai To and Trung Tuc Vuong Le Lai from the temple to the Lam Kinh Dragon Courtyard amid the resounding sound of gongs and drums, creating a solemn yet bustling, sacred yet intimate atmosphere.

Next, the ceremony of presenting a memorial service to commemorate the merits of Emperor Thai To Cao Hoang De, the kings, queen mothers and mandarins of the Le dynasty was solemnly held, expressing deep gratitude to those who contributed to building the independence and autonomy of Dai Viet.

Speaking at the festival, Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: The Lam Son uprising initiated by National Hero Le Loi is a brilliant milestone in the nation's history, opening an era of independence, autonomy and long-term prosperity for the country.

From the Lung Nhai Oath in 1416 until the day Dai Viet was freed from the Ming army, the Lam Son fire lit up the patriotism, indomitable will, and humanity of the Vietnamese people.

After ascending the throne in 1428, King Le Thai To was not only an outstanding national hero and military genius, but also a great politician and thinker.

His six-year reign laid the foundation for a strong centralized state, enacted many humane policies, cared for people's lives, expanded education and developed the country.

Under the Later Le Dynasty, Dai Viet entered a period of peace and prosperity, becoming the most prosperous country in Southeast Asia in the 15th century.

More than six centuries have passed, the Lam Son spirit still shines as an immortal symbol of patriotism and the aspiration for national independence.

Promoting that glorious tradition, the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Hoa today are striving to rise up, affirming its position as one of the leading developing provinces in the country, with the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, creativity, following in the footsteps of our predecessors, building our homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

The festival took place in an exciting atmosphere with the special art program "Lam Son's heroic spirit - Shining forever", fully recreating the Lam Son uprising journey and the glorious feat of arms of Binh Dinh King Le Loi and his army.

Heroic melodies and dances mixed with images of today's dynamic and innovative Thanh Hoa closed the festival in a proud and excited atmosphere.

Lam Kinh Festival 2025 is not only an occasion to pay tribute to King Le Thai To and our ancestors, but also a journey back to our roots, fostering solidarity, building trust and aspirations for development.
