This is a key activity in the series of summarizing 50 years of national literary and artistic works after the country's reunification, closely following Plan No. 690/KH-BVHTTDL (February 23, 2024) and implementing strategic goals according to the Party's Resolution on culture, towards building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Performing Arts in coordination with relevant units.

Honoring the past journey, expecting creative works in the new journey
Nearly 200 works in the four fields of literature, theater, music and dance were sent to the voting council. After two rigorous preliminary and final rounds, the council selected 50 outstanding works to honor. These are compositions that vividly reflect the journey of innovation, silent contributions, aspirations for peace and solidarity, and lasting humanistic values that have nurtured the Vietnamese soul for decades.
The event is considered a solemn tribute to generations of artists - those who have used their talent, intelligence and heart to record each step of the country's transformation through the language of art. This is also an opportunity for the public to look back on the journey of continuous innovation and creativity, thereby feeling more clearly the will, courage and aspiration for integration of Vietnamese culture in the new era.

During the ceremony, the creative campaign "Living forever with time" for the period 2026-2030 was officially launched, aiming to find works of lasting ideological and artistic value, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding and the 85th anniversary of National Day. All Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad and foreigners living in Vietnam can participate in many genres: novels, epic poems, dramas, operas, operas, symphonies, choirs, musicals, songs, dance poems or dance dramas...
In particular, the 2025-2027 period: the program will focus on receiving works and selecting 40 outlines for the creative camp; 10-20 excellent works are expected to be invested in, published or staged in 2027. The next period: 2028-2029 will prioritize production and completion to summarize in 2030, aiming for works rich in humanity, reflecting the values of truth - goodness - beauty of the era.
Regarding this, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh - in his speech at the ceremony - called on the country's artists to engage more deeply in life, to seek new stories, new characters, new development models of the country to create works of new ideological and artistic stature, reflecting the spirit of the era of innovation, industrialization, modernization and international integration.

Poet Tran Dang Khoa transfers prize money to people in Central Vietnam
Talking about the past journey and looking towards the new one, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that each honored work is not simply a personal achievement, but a collective crystallization of the "sacred soul of the mountains and rivers", the voice of the people - those who have preserved and enlivened spiritual values in daily life.
In that spirit, 50 works, including 14 literary works, 18 theatrical works, 12 musical works and 6 dance works were honored. Each work received 30 million VND in creative support.
Right at the ceremony, poet Tran Dang Khoa - author of the work Sinking Island - one of the 50 honored works - caused strong emotions when he proposed to transfer the entire prize money of 30 million VND to the people of the Central region who are struggling to overcome the flood. In the auditorium, this simple but humane action immediately became a lasting moment, reflecting the spirit of "culture is the spiritual foundation of society" that many generations of artists have always pursued.
