Giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances

DTO - At the Great Solidarity Space of Ward 2 (Cao Lanh City), the Women's Union of Ward 2 has just organized a gift-giving ceremony for people in difficult circumstances.

Accordingly, 200 gifts (each containing 10kg of rice) were presented by the Women's Union of Ward 2 to poor households, union members, members and women in difficult circumstances in the area. The total cost of the gifts was 34 million VND, sponsored by the Women's Union of Ward 2 through the mobilization of donors. This is an activity in response to the program "Millions of gifts, sharing love" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. Thereby, contributing to encouraging the spirit to help people in difficult circumstances strive to improve their lives.

* Recently, Venerable Thich Nguyen Tan - Abbot of Phat Quang Pagoda (Phu Ninh Commune, Tam Nong District) organized a gift giving ceremony for poor households and lonely elderly people in the locality. Accordingly, Venerable Thich Nguyen Tan presented 100 gifts including rice and instant noodles... (VND 250,000/gift). The total value was over VND 25 million supported by the Abbot of Phat Quang Pagoda.
