Even during the holiday break, graduating students maintained their study pace, proactively reviewing for upcoming important exams. Many took advantage of every spare moment to systematize their knowledge, practice with sample questions, and hone their test-taking skills to prepare for the "final sprint."

Nguyen Thi Ha Linh, a student in class 12A6 at Cam Xuyen High School, shared: “During the holiday, I took the opportunity to review my knowledge by topic, look back at the assignments I had done, and compare them with the teachers' comments and corrections to adjust my presentation and improve my test-taking skills. I also proactively rearranged my study plan to be ready to get back into the swing of things for the peak review period.”
Not only students, but also teachers in schools are proactively preparing the conditions to accelerate exam preparation for students. Teachers in each subject group are reviewing and rearranging the knowledge content to suit each group of students.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam, a Literature teacher at Ky Anh High School, said: “On the last day of the holiday, I took the opportunity to reorganize the curriculum and lesson plans to continue reviewing and systematizing knowledge for students according to their abilities, both to consolidate foundational knowledge and improve test-taking skills for each group. Right after the holiday, in addition to regular classes, we will also continue to maintain ‘free study sessions’ in the evenings at school. Specifically for the Literature department, review sessions are scheduled every Friday evening; many teachers who do not directly teach 12th grade also participate in supporting the student groups.”

Recognizing that supporting students to enter exams with a solid foundation of knowledge and proficient test-taking skills is a central task, Ham Nghi High School has implemented a comprehensive range of review solutions. The monitoring and assessment of each student's abilities are carried out closely, allowing for timely and appropriate support, especially for students with knowledge limitations.
Mr. Tran Trong Thanh, Principal of Ham Nghi High School, said: “During the holidays, through class groups and ability-based review groups, teachers and students maintained regular exchanges and knowledge sharing, thus keeping the review pace stable and uninterrupted. Entering the accelerated phase, the school will continue to focus on consolidating key knowledge, practicing test-taking skills, and organizing review sessions suitable for each group of students. The review process is expected to conclude on June 6th.”

For 9th-grade students, just before the holiday break, the Ha Tinh Department of Education and Training announced the plan for organizing the 10th-grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year, and also publicly disclosed the number of candidates registering for their first choice at each school. These specific figures regarding the level of competition significantly increase the pressure on 9th-grade students. Therefore, for many, the holiday is not only a time for rest but also a crucial period for accelerating their learning, consolidating skills, and preparing for the final stretch.
Tran Thi Thanh Thao, a 9th-grade student from Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary School (Can Loc commune), shared: “This year, Nghen High School – where I registered as my first choice – has 631 applicants, while the quota is only 535. This means that nearly 100 students will not get their desired place, which makes me quite worried. Therefore, I am determined to focus more on studying. Besides class time, I will concentrate on practicing exam questions and improving my presentation skills in the evenings to be more confident in my answers.”

To support students in this crucial period, many junior high schools in the area have flexibly adjusted their review plans to suit the abilities of each group of students. Based on the results of previous tests, teachers analyze strengths and weaknesses to develop practical review content, avoiding overly broad and superficial approaches.
Mr. Ha Van Sang, Principal of Dai Thanh Secondary School (Cam Binh commune), said: “The pressure of the exam is immense. Therefore, to support students, after this holiday, in addition to continuing to strengthen practice sessions closely following the exam structure, honing question-solving skills and time management, we also instruct teachers to regularly communicate and provide direct advice to help students stabilize their psychology and develop scientific study plans, thereby creating a solid foundation to confidently enter the exam.”
The end of the holiday season also marks the final stretch of the journey to conquer important exams. Maintaining a continuous and stable study schedule helps students avoid interruptions in their learning and quickly get back on track. This is also the "golden time" for them to accelerate and consolidate their knowledge before entering the official exams.
According to the plan, the entrance exam for 10th grade in Ha Tinh for the 2026-2027 school year will take place on May 25-26 with more than 21,000 9th-grade students registered to take the exam, of which nearly 19,800 students will take the exam for non-specialized public schools and nearly 1,500 students will take the exam for Ha Tinh Specialized High School. Although the enrollment rate for public schools has increased to 74% (up 2% compared to the previous year), the increase of nearly 4,000 candidates will further intensify the competitive pressure.
The 2026 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 11-12, with over 17,000 12th-grade students in Ha Tinh province registered to take it. This is an important exam for graduation assessment and serves as a basis for university and college admissions.
