On August 24th, according to a source from Thanh Niên newspaper, the police in Tư Nghĩa district ( Quảng Ngãi province ) discovered a man illegally possessing military weapons, which he was preparing to use to resolve a conflict.

Currently, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Tu Nghia District Police has issued an emergency detention order and placed this man under temporary criminal detention for the illegal possession of military weapons.

During the inspection, the police discovered a large quantity of firearms.

Previously, on August 23, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Tu Nghia District Police, in coordination with Nghia Phuong Commune Police and other relevant units, conducted an inspection of a guesthouse in Nang Tay 3 village, Nghia Phuong commune (Tu Nghia District).

Here, the police discovered that Mr. NVL (33 years old, residing in Hamlet 6, Duc Chanh Commune, Mo Duc District, Quang Ngai Province) was illegally possessing military weapons.

The seized items included: 1 AR15 rifle, 21 rounds of ammunition, 1 homemade air gun, numerous lead pellets, 1 knife, 1 bolt cutter… and several other items.

Guns and ammunition were discovered during a search of the lodging house.

According to the initial investigation, Mr. L. confessed that he had prepared weapons to resolve a personal conflict, but was discovered by the police before he could use them.

The case of illegal possession of military weapons is currently being investigated and verified by the Criminal Investigation Agency of Tu Nghia District Police in accordance with regulations.
