At Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) and DOJI Group, the price of gold bars is listed at 91.8 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 93.5 million VND/ounce (selling price). This afternoon, the price of gold increased by 800,000 VND/ounce in the buying price and 500,000 VND/ounce in the selling price compared to the close of yesterday's trading session.
DOJI's system listed SJC gold at a buying price of 91.8 million VND/ounce and a selling price of 93.5 million VND/ounce. This represents an increase of 800,000 VND/ounce in the buying price and 500,000 VND/ounce in the selling price compared to yesterday.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the buying price of SJC gold is 92.7 million VND/ounce and the selling price is 93.7 million VND/ounce. Thus, compared to yesterday's session, the price of gold has increased sharply by 200,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling directions.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd. listed the price of SJC gold at 92 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 93.5 million VND/ounce (selling price). This price increased by 1 million VND/ounce in the buying price and 700,000 VND/ounce in the selling price compared to yesterday.
Bao Tin Manh Hai Co., Ltd. listed the price of SJC gold at 84.4 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 86.4 million VND/ounce (selling price). This price remained unchanged in both buying and selling directions compared to the close of yesterday's trading session.

According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:00 AM Vietnam time today was $2,924.02 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.45% compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,776 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 90.8 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is currently 2.4 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

According to Reuters, gold, a safe-haven asset, held its ground thanks to uncertainty over tariffs and more dovish inflation reports, which helped sustain expectations of US interest rate cuts.
Spot gold prices rose 0.1% to $2,917.93 per ounce as of 12:58 GMT. US gold futures edged up 0.1% to $2,923.80. Data showed the US consumer price index rose 0.2% last month after accelerating 0.5% in January. However, this improvement may be only temporary amid strong tariffs on imports expected to drive up prices for most goods in the coming months.
"Gold prices have recovered but have remained range-bound in recent weeks; whether gold can move higher after this CPI report will be a key signal. In the medium term, uncertainty will support gold so any sharp dips will be bought," said Tai Wong, an independent metals trader.
In terms of trade policy, President Donald Trump's order to increase tariffs on all steel and aluminum imports from the United States took effect on Wednesday, accelerating a campaign to realign global trade in favor of the U.S. and quickly provoking retaliation from Europe. Last year, the Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 100 basis points. Financial markets expect the Fed to continue cutting interest rates in June due to worsening economic prospects, after pausing in January.
Gold, which yields no interest, thrives in low-interest rate environments and is considered a safe investment during times of economic and geopolitical uncertainty.
The US Producer Price Index (PPI) and weekly jobless claims data, expected to be released on Thursday, are the next data points investors are watching.
Spot silver prices rose 0.7% to $33.16 per ounce.
In our baseline scenario of modest manufacturing recovery, silver would outperform gold, although a sharper slowdown in U.S. growth is a key risk, UBS said in a note. Platinum rose 1.5% to $990.00 and palladium gained 0.7% to $952.23.
