At the 959th Economic-Defense Brigade, Party member Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram is one of the outstanding figures. With her pioneering spirit and enthusiasm, she actively participates in disseminating information, helping people eliminate outdated customs, transform the structure of crops and livestock, and apply science and technology in production. Many household economic models and production cooperatives that she has coordinated have been highly appreciated by the people and local authorities.

Young intellectual volunteers from the 959 Economic-Defense Brigade (Military Region 9) participate in medical examinations and distribute medicine to the people.

Similarly, Party member Le Thi Kieu My, a former student of economic law and currently working at the 915 Economic-Defense Brigade, has also continuously strived and demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility in her work. In June 2024, she was admitted to the Party, becoming an exemplary figure in the Planning and Staff Department's Party Branch. The Youth Volunteer Team members also excelled in tutoring weak students, organizing cultural and artistic activities, and sports , contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people in the project area. The close relationship between young intellectuals and the masses is fostered through collaborative community activities.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Huy, Political Commissar of the 915 Economic-Defense Brigade, said that the unit focuses on training young Party members through practical experience, linked to studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh , creating positive changes in their qualities, lifestyle, and work style.

At the 959th Economic-Defense Brigade, Party development work is also carried out according to strict procedures. Members recommended by the Party branch must be truly outstanding in the movement, possessing pioneering spirit, exemplary conduct, and responsibility. Each year, the 959th Economic-Defense Brigade admits 5 to 8 outstanding members into the Party, contributing to building a strong Party organization and strengthening the core political force in the locality.

After more than 10 years of implementing the Government's Project 174, the contingent of Party members in the Youth Union has contributed to changing the face of the economic-defense zones and consolidating national unity. Major General Quach Van Nho, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9, emphasized that the achievements are proof of the correctness of the policy to strengthen the Youth Union, and at the same time affirm the role, strength, and dedication of young people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
