Vingroup Corporation launches the "For a Green Capital" campaign.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Vingroup Corporation and its affiliated companies launched the "For a Green Capital" campaign, calling on the community to raise environmental awareness and work together to reduce air pollution in Hanoi. The event took place on the morning of January 10th.

According to a report by the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment, transportation is identified as the largest source of emissions, accounting for up to 70% of urban air pollution.

Starting January 10th, Vingroup and its green mobility ecosystem companies, including VinFast , VinBus, GSM, and FGF, have simultaneously launched numerous meaningful support activities and policies for customers purchasing, leasing, and using electric vehicles daily.

Specifically, VinFast is offering a subsidy of 70 million VND to all customers who purchase electric vehicles and register them in Hanoi between January 10th and January 31st, 2026. The specific subsidy amount will vary depending on the vehicle model and the purchase method (battery included or battery leased), ranging from 3.6 million VND (for VF3 models with battery leased) to 70 million VND (for VF9 models with purchased batteries).

For customers purchasing electric motorcycles and electric bicycles, the subsidy will range from 500,000 VND (for Evo200 models with battery rental) to 3 million VND (for Theon S models with battery purchase).

The subsidy from VinFast for these vehicles will be converted into VinClub points, which customers can use for services at all Vingroup member units, and will be paid out after customers complete the license plate registration procedures.

For customers choosing to use public transport in Hanoi, VinBus will subsidize 50% of the fare for all customers purchasing single-route monthly passes on VinBus routes from February 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026.

GSM will also launch membership packages specifically for the Hanoi area, with promotional codes valid for 365 days for both Green SM Taxi and Green SM Bike services with pick-up and drop-off points in Hanoi.

Meanwhile, FGF will offer direct discounts on car rentals and reward points to customers who rent cars for short periods and pick them up in Hanoi from January 15th until further notice. Customers who purchase used cars through FGF will receive similar support as VinFast's policy for each car model.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, expressed his admiration for Vingroup's concrete solutions in strongly focusing on policies supporting the use of electric vehicles to replace traditional gasoline-powered vehicles. According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, this transition will not only significantly reduce emissions but also contribute to bringing Hanoi closer to its goal of becoming a green and sustainably developed city.

"With that purpose and meaning in mind, I call upon the entire community of Hanoi, from every citizen and business to organizations and associations, to be aware of and act together to protect our living environment. Practical actions can begin with switching to electric vehicles or electrified public transportation, not using coal stoves, not burning garbage outdoors, increasing tree planting, and protecting green spaces in our living areas," said Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup, affirmed that the effort to restore clean air to the capital city is not the responsibility of any one person, but a call from the heart, requiring the joint efforts of the entire community.
