Training on using E-Learning materials

BHG - On the morning of May 12th, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Plan Office in Ha Giang, organized a training session on using E-Learning materials for teachers in charge of school counseling and staff from 4 education and training departments in the project area.

BHG - On the morning of May 12th, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Plan Office in Ha Giang, organized a training session on using E-Learning materials for teachers in charge of school counseling and staff from 4 education and training departments in the project area.

Overview of the training session.

Over two days, teachers from the education and training departments of four districts—Yen Minh, Meo Vac, Xin Man, and Hoang Su Phi—listened to lecturers from Hanoi Pedagogical University who provided an overview, access, and usage of E-Learning courses on the LMS platform. They also learned how to identify sexual abuse and signs of child sexual abuse online; how to distinguish between online and in-person sexual abuse; and how to help students protect themselves from sexual abuse and financial fraud when interacting online. Furthermore, they reinforced their knowledge of adolescent development and how to show respect for their own bodies and those of their friends; how to recognize signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships on social media; and how to build healthy relationships and prevent unhealthy ones in the online space.

The training session aimed to help teachers consolidate their knowledge of the psychophysiological development of middle school students, the characteristics of physical development during puberty, and how to build healthy relationships online. It also enhanced their knowledge and skills in preventing online financial fraud and how to guide students in learning using the LMS system. This will enable teachers, upon returning to their schools, to equip students with basic knowledge about child sexual abuse online, so that students can protect themselves from unwanted influences.
