Besides its focus on international integration, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia noted that VinUni University should be a place to preserve, promote, and disseminate advanced Vietnamese culture, rich in national identity.
VinUni needs to focus strongly on research and training high-level, high-quality human resources in the fields of engineering and technology. The university should research and open more training programs in engineering and technology, especially in emerging fields related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution such as big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors. It should strongly promote scientific research and technological development, focusing on researching and developing products bearing the Vietnamese brand and the VinUni brand.
Promoting the development of the higher education system.
On its journey to becoming an excellent university, VinUni needs to collaborate, share values and resources, and fulfill its social responsibilities in promoting the development of Vietnam's higher education system; focusing on scholarship policies and tuition fee reductions for talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds with limited access to university education.
In particular, the Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested that the university continue to focus on building a team of lecturers, experts, and scientists of international caliber. Forming a team of reputable lecturers, scientists, and leading experts in key fields of the university is considered the most important factor in achieving VinUni's goal of becoming an excellent university in the region and the world. Each lecturer and scientist at VinUni must truly be a shining example of dedication to their profession, a spirit of innovation, and a desire to contribute.
