In the last six months of 2025 alone, Quang Tri Power Company completed and put into operation many important power projects, including: Upgrading the diesel generator capacity at Con Co Power Station; completing the medium and low voltage power grid in Minh Hoa area; completing and preventing overload of the medium and low voltage power grid in the central Dong Hoi area; completing and preventing overload of the medium and low voltage power grid in Ba Don area; installing transformer substations and completing the low voltage power grid in Vinh Linh area; and completing the medium and low voltage power grid in Dakrong.
In particular, following the directives of the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the Government 's resolution on eliminating areas with poor electricity and signal coverage, Quang Tri Power Company has developed a power supply plan tailored to the specific conditions of each village and hamlet.
Based on that, the company chose a plan to combine extending the national power grid to 7 villages and hamlets with using generators and constructing low-voltage power lines in the remaining 10 particularly disadvantaged villages in the province. By the end of 2025, Quang Tri Power Company will inaugurate and put into operation all the aforementioned power projects with an initial investment of over 7 billion VND, contributing to making Quang Tri a locality that has achieved 100% of villages and hamlets with poor signal coverage having electricity…

In the first months of 2026, the staff, engineers, and workers of Quang Tri Power Company continued to focus on accelerating investment, construction, and major repairs to improve the operational capacity of the power system and meet the increasing load demand, especially during the hot season.
According to a report from Quang Tri Power Company, in the first quarter of 2026, investment and construction work achieved initial results. The entire company completed 15.4% of the newly assigned investment and construction projects (the remaining projects are being focused on implementation). In addition, major repair work continued to be implemented synchronously, with the value of work completed corresponding to 13.4% of the plan.

To ensure electricity supply during peak season, Quang Tri Power Company (PC Quang Tri) has identified the second quarter of 2026 as a crucial period to accelerate progress with decisive solutions, such as: expediting investment preparation; completing dossiers and procedures for remaining projects, especially those added to the annual plan, ensuring conditions for early commencement; closely monitoring the progress of each project to effectively manage construction; strengthening on-site inspections, proactively coordinating with local authorities to resolve difficulties related to land acquisition and transmission line corridors, and resolutely preventing delays that could affect the project's energization schedule; continuing a comprehensive review of the power grid, prioritizing the handling of areas at risk of overload, degradation, or frequent incidents; and improving the reliability of electricity supply during the hot season…
According to the plan, in 2026, Quang Tri Power Company will implement 46 investment and construction projects, with a total net investment of approximately 272 billion VND. To meet practical requirements, the unit is currently proposing to the higher authorities to adjust and supplement the scale to 82 projects, with a total expected capital of over 362 billion VND.
According to Hoang Hieu Trung, Director of Quang Tri Power Company, the unit currently serves 523,783 customers, with 100% of electronic meters remotely monitored, and all online electricity services at level 4. To date, all 21 110kV substations of the company operate unmanned thanks to effective digital transformation. The company has been assessed as achieving level 4 in EVN's digital transformation roadmap. Simultaneously, more than 8,000 employees have participated in internal training; 16 grassroots-level initiatives and 11 EVNCPC-level initiatives have been recognized, generating nearly 1 billion VND in benefits... By 2025, the company aims to reduce power loss by 3.9%, 0.65% lower than the assigned plan. This is a crucial indicator demonstrating the effectiveness of technical management and operation of the power grid towards an increasingly smart and modern direction.
