On the morning of May 23, training ship number 5 named Thich Ke Quang of the Chinese Navy officially docked at Tien Sa port (Son Tra district, Da Nang city), starting a visit in Da Nang city.

The welcoming ceremony was held at Tien Sa wharf. On the Vietnamese side, there were representatives of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, the 3rd Naval Region Command, the Border Guard Command, the City Military Command, the Foreign Affairs Department of the Ministry of National Defense and the Foreign Affairs Department of the Military Region 5 Command.
The Chinese side has representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang and representatives of a number of Chinese businesses, organizations and communities in Vietnam.
The ship Thich Ke Quang (number 83) consists of 476 officers, sailors and students of the Dalian Vessel Academy - Chinese Navy led by Major General Su Yinsheng (To Dan Sinh), Political Commissar of Dalian Shipbuilding Academy.
In 3 days, from May 22 to 25, officers and crew of the Chinese Navy ship will pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of Da Nang City, the 5th Military Region Command; Naval Region 5 Command; visit the tourist attractions, history, culture ... of Da Nang city; visit a number of Chinese enterprises and organizations in Quang Nam province; conduct joint formation exercises with ships of Naval Region 3.
According to the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, the visit of the Thich Ke Quang training ship in Da Nang shows the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China. At the same time, contributing to helping the two sides enhance mutual understanding and trust, is an opportunity to promote comprehensive strategic cooperation as well as bilateral defense cooperation and cooperation between the two navies.
