On the morning of March 5, Thai Binh held a conference to announce Thai Binh Provincial Planning for the period 3-2021, vision to 2030 and promote investment.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, said that the approved planning opens a new stage of development for the province. The planning has a strategic vision, concretizing development aspirations; Promote all potentials, advantages, resources and human factors to help Thai Binh province develop rapidly, comprehensively and sustainably, with the goal of becoming a locality in the fairly developed group by 2030. In 2050, Thai Binh province will be one of the industrial development centers of the Red River Delta region.
The plan identifies major directions to create development breakthroughs with 3 development breakthroughs, 6 key tasks and 4 economic growth pillars. This planning opens up space for development following the trend of sea reclamation to create breakthroughs in the fields of seaports, energy, entertainment services, resorts, and ecology.
Besides, expanding sea reclamation space creates land fund for functional activities, forming synchronous industrial-urban-service space and coastal ecological landscape.
In the planning, Thai Binh province will build a synchronous and modern urban system with Thai Binh city, taking the two banks of Tra Ly as the highlight of the urban area.
Notably, in 2030, Thai Binh will propose adding a specialized coastal airport to the planning of the national airport and airport system. In addition, the province will also ask the competent authorities to open a passing railway line, part of the national railway network.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang affirmed that the planning of Thai Binh province is the concretization of the local development aspirations, expressing new thinking, new vision with directions and solutions. Breakthrough solutions with long-term strategic scope, helping to remove bottlenecks, properly allocate resources and exploit potentials and advantages.
Looking back over time, Thai Binh is a province that is developing "hot" in industry. The locality has attracted many large FDI projects. In 2023 alone, the amount of FDI capital registered to invest in Thai Binh has reached 3 billion USD. The basic advantage of Thai Binh is the formation of an economic zone with many outstanding and highly competitive preferential mechanisms and policies, and businesses' access to land is also extremely convenient.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the planning also puts Thai Binh before new challenges. Rapid development will require a guaranteed legal corridor, and in many situations there may not be time to remove obstacles for the institution itself. Therefore, localities must pay attention to compliance, flexibility, synchronization and understanding.
At the conference, Thai Binh also awarded investment policy approvals, investment registration certificates and cooperation agreements to 9 businesses, with a total capital of nearly 10.000 billion VND.
