Mao Khe Coal Mine Achieves 2025 Plan Target

With the goal of "Safety - Unity - Development - Efficiency," the working motto "Responsibility - Friendliness - Creativity," and the consensus and solidarity of all cadres, workers, and employees, Mao Khe Coal Company has completed the plan targets assigned by TKV for 2025.

In 2025, Mao Khe Coal Company was assigned by the Group to produce 2.5 million tons of raw coal, remove 1.21 million m3 of open-pit overburden, excavate 22,820m of tunnels for production preparation, and sell 2.41 million tons of coal. To achieve these targets, the company is implementing a comprehensive set of solutions, focusing on preparing sufficient production areas, maintaining a stable pace of tunnel excavation and coal extraction; accelerating land clearance, expanding mining areas, increasing tunnel excavation, and mechanization coupled with strict technical supervision. It is proactively mobilizing resources, focusing on exploiting seam 10, arranging working faces rationally; upgrading transportation, electrical systems, equipment, promoting automation and digital transformation. At the same time, it is accelerating basic construction, mechanization, screening, and environmental projects on schedule; tightening safety discipline, increasing on-site inspections, improving working conditions, and establishing mechanisms to encourage and attract mining workers…

The company's leadership also drafted a resolution to launch a competition in the fourth quarter of 2025 with the following criteria: producing 633,000 tons of raw coal and excavating 6,680 meters, while ensuring no Class I incidents or serious work accidents occur and minimizing worker turnover.

Electrician Vu Van Manh, from Mining Workshop 5, shared: "I always strive to work hard and ensure my daily work hours are met, ranking among the top earners in the unit in terms of average income. In addition, I actively help my colleagues, especially the younger workers who lack experience in production. Recently, I was awarded the title 'Miner - Soldier' ​​by the Company. This is a motivation for me and my colleagues to continue contributing."

The widespread and effective implementation of emulation movements has helped Mao Khe Coal Mine complete the set targets on schedule: Raw coal production reached 2.5 million tons, equivalent to 100% of the annual plan and 103% compared to the same period last year; revenue reached 3,629 billion VND; expected profit reached nearly 52.7 billion VND, equivalent to 129% of the plan. The average salary of miners reached 27.23 million VND/person/month.

During the year, the unit's Trade Union also coordinated with specialized departments to carefully care for the lives of workers, such as: organizing medical examinations and treatment for 12,000 workers; organizing periodic health check-ups for 7,000 people; conducting screening and periodic occupational disease examinations for 2,300 people; arranging for 55 workers with occupational diseases to undergo lung lavage. The company purchased personal accident insurance for 3,858 people with a total amount of 1.2 billion VND; and requested financial support for 2 families of workers in difficult circumstances to build "Trade Union Shelters"...

Currently, Mao Khe Coal Mine is simultaneously implementing an open-pit mining project (capacity of 250,000 tons/year), scheduled to end by 2030, and a production expansion project (capacity of 1.6 million tons/year), also scheduled to end in 2030. To maintain stable and sustainable production, the unit is implementing an underground mining project at depths from -150m to -400m, with a capacity of 2 million tons/year. Basic construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, and the designed capacity of 2 million tons/year is projected to reach 2 million tons/year by 2028. In addition, the unit is proactively developing projects related to environmental protection, automating conveyor belts and fan stations, etc., to improve production efficiency and protect the environment.

Entering 2026, Mao Khe Coal Mine aims to produce 2.65 million tons of raw coal; excavate 19,000 meters of preparatory tunnels for production; excavate 3,334 meters of basic construction tunnels; sell 2.588 million tons of coal; and achieve revenue of 3.673 billion VND. According to the unit's leadership, Mao Khe Mine has many unique characteristics, including complex geology, weak seam walls, and a high risk of internal fires and water bursts, making tunnel excavation, deep mining, and mine stability challenging. Therefore, to ensure sustainable development in the coming years, the unit will effectively communicate its production and business plans and tasks, as well as the difficulties, to employees so they understand, share, and agree to successfully complete their tasks; and continue to promote mechanization, automation, and digital transformation in management and production to reduce labor, improve working conditions, and increase labor productivity while ensuring investment efficiency. At the same time, we will promote grassroots democracy, create an environment and conditions for employees to contribute their intelligence and efforts to the company's development; effectively implement occupational safety and health measures; and create a green, clean, and beautiful environment.
