Aiming to mine over 1.9 million tons of coal in 2026, Uong Bi Coal Company is accelerating production to maintain a stable pace, creating momentum for a breakthrough in the second quarter, towards comprehensively fulfilling all targets assigned by the Group. Despite the Lunar New Year holiday in the first quarter of 2026, which reduced working days, the company still achieved many positive results. Raw coal production reached 515,000 tons, achieving 26% of the annual plan and increasing 8% compared to the same period in 2025. Coal consumption reached 550,000 tons, achieving 29% of the plan and increasing 6% compared to the same period. Tunnel excavation reached 7,575 meters, equivalent to 25% of the plan and increasing 10% compared to the same period. Average employee income reached over 21.5 million VND/person/month, with miners earning nearly 27 million VND/person/month.
Building on the achievements, the second quarter of 2026 will be a crucial acceleration phase for the unit, aiming to produce 565,000 tons of raw coal, excavate 8,675 meters of new tunnels, process 438,000 tons of clean coal, and sell 527,000 tons. To achieve these results, the company will continue to tighten operational discipline, effectively implement the "6 clear principles"; strengthen on-site monitoring, and proactively manage production flexibly according to actual conditions. Simultaneously, it will build a suitable wage mechanism to create incentives for increased productivity, discipline, and workplace safety. In particular, Uong Bi Coal Company is accelerating the investment in the Dong Vong underground mining project, which is expected to expand production, enhance mining capacity, and create sustainable growth potential for the coming years.
In 2026, Nam Mau Coal Company aims to produce 2.6 million tons of raw coal – the highest output ever achieved by the company. Since the beginning of 2026, despite increasingly deep mining operations, complex geological conditions, rising input costs, and a slow market, Nam Mau Coal Company has maintained stable production. The company has implemented flexible and decisive management from the start of the year, closely monitoring each production shift, promoting mechanization, automation, and digital transformation. Many mining and tunneling workshops have met or exceeded their targets, making a significant contribution to the overall results.
In the first quarter, raw coal production reached 731,000 tons, achieving 28.1% of the annual plan; coal consumption reached 562,125 tons, equivalent to 24.4% of the annual plan. Total revenue of the company reached VND 951 billion, equivalent to 25.3% of the plan; profit reached VND 13 billion, equivalent to 25.2% of the annual plan. Notably, average salary reached VND 21.6 million/person/month, equivalent to 105.1% of the plan, continuing to ensure the livelihood of employees. In the second quarter, the company aims to produce 700,000 tons of raw coal, striving to bring the total production for the first six months to over 1.43 million tons. Tunnel excavation work continues to be accelerated with a volume of 9,600m. Coal consumption is expected to reach over 1.18 million tons, exceeding 50% of the annual plan.
Mr. Ta Dang Dai, Director of Nam Mau Coal Company, said: Nam Mau Coal Company continues to tighten operational discipline, improve coordination efficiency between units; accelerate tunnel excavation to prepare production areas; strengthen the application of mechanization and automation in mining; and strictly control coal quality and production costs. At the same time, we proactively develop plans to prevent and mitigate damage from storms and floods, ensuring safe and stable production, thereby creating momentum to achieve the highest production target in history, contributing to the overall growth of the coal industry in 2026.
Since the beginning of the year, together with Uong Bi Coal Company and Nam Mau Coal Company, the Group's units have closely followed the Group's production plan and operational directives, focusing on achieving production targets and striving to complete the set indicators. In the first quarter of 2026, the estimated mining output reached 9.65 million tons, while consumption exceeded the plan with over 11.88 million tons. Entering April, TKV aims to mine over 3.167 million tons and consume approximately 5.06 million tons of coal, demonstrating its determination to accelerate targets in the second quarter.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Nam, Deputy General Director of the Group and Director of the Production Operations Center in Quang Ninh , stated: The Group and its member units continue to tighten operational discipline, closely adhere to production and business plans, and coordinate effectively in sales. Production is being boosted to ensure a readily available supply of coal for thermal power plants, while actively expanding markets and increasing exports, especially for high-quality coal.
Simultaneously, TKV is implementing comprehensive solutions to ensure labor safety, protect the environment, and proactively prevent and mitigate natural disasters during the 2026 rainy season; strengthening inspection and control to maintain security and order and protect mine boundary resources. The promotion of mechanization and the application of digital transformation will also continue to be emphasized, contributing to increased productivity, job stability, and income for workers.
