The only person who caused Cameron Young trouble on Sunday, May 3rd (US time), turned out to be… Cameron Young himself.

Young took a penalty stroke on the par-4 second hole after hitting the ball onto the fairway. Despite this, he still managed to save par.

That was the kind of week it was: Young was calm and almost unbeatable. He led alone from start to finish at the 2026 Cadillac Championship, finishing with a 68 (-4) for a total score of -19.

Young finished six strokes ahead of world number one Scottie Scheffler. This was one of the biggest margins of victory in the 2026 PGA Tour season.

"When the court is difficult, when the playing conditions are harsh, it actually makes me feel better mentally," Young shared.
