To further fulfill its commitment to building a sustainable community, Home Credit has donated practical and meaningful gifts to underprivileged children in Gia Lai through the "New Clothes - Happy to Go to School" project.
Kông Chro, a district in eastern Gia Lai province, is home to the hardworking Ba Na people. Despite facing many hardships, the students here diligently attend school every day, pursuing their dreams of literacy. Most of them attend An Trung Primary and Secondary School, including the Biên village branch school, which is over 30 years old and in serious disrepair.
A "new look" for the school.
Understanding the children's desire to attend school amidst the hardships faced by their families, Home Credit has strived to provide a safer and more spacious learning environment through the "New Look - Happy to Go to School" project. This is the opening activity for the fourth year of the Home Love initiative, marking a close collaboration with the Hope Foundation in upgrading school facilities.
With this project, the Home Credit team joined hands to repaint and redecorate the classrooms, replace desks and chairs, improve facilities, and build a new playground for the students. Now, Bien Village School has a new, spacious, vibrant, and extremely warm and loving "look," providing the children with an inspiring learning environment.
Home Love helps equip children to welcome the new school year.
The dedication of the teachers and the local education sector, now further supported by Home Credit Vietnam and the Hope Foundation, is expected to help Bien Village School truly become a home for the children, providing them with motivation to learn, develop comprehensively, and become useful citizens for society in the future. A new chapter has opened, creating lasting changes for the children and their families. This is also one of the six pillars of Home Credit's sustainable development strategy pursued over the years.
Extending love
2024 marks the fourth consecutive year that the Home Love bus has continued its journey of love, spreading joy and hope to all corners of the country. This year, the bus not only stops in Gia Lai but also continues its journey to the next school in Nghe An after its success in Yen Bai, Hue, Cam Ranh ( Khanh Hoa ), Bac Lieu, and other locations.
"Home Love is a testament to our continuous efforts to contribute to improving the learning and development conditions of children in disadvantaged areas. With this annual project, Home Credit affirms its commitment to partnering with the community, aiming for a bright and sustainable future for children," said Mr. Jakub Kudrna, Director of Business Strategy and Chairman of the ESG Steering Committee at Home Credit Vietnam.
Home Credit is implementing a series of practical support programs for customers. A prime example is the "Financial Sharing Loan Package" specifically for customers in provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.
3 billion VND to support people in the North.
With a spirit of mutual support and compassion, Home Credit and its employees have donated over 3 billion VND to support people in Northern Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods. This funding will be used to carry out activities in areas affected by the natural disaster, such as: assisting people in repairing their homes and purchasing essential supplies; collaborating with the Hope Foundation to rebuild schools, dikes, and embankments; and providing books, school supplies, and clothing for students.
