Viettel FC faced a tough match against PVF-CAND in Round 24 of the V.League 2025/26. Despite playing at home at Hang Day Stadium and having more possession, the military team struggled to secure a 1-1 draw.
Immediately after the opening whistle, The Cong Viettel proactively pushed their formation forward, constantly creating pressure with fast-paced passing combinations. However, PVF-CAND organized a tight defense, making it difficult for the home team to get close to the goal.

The turning point came in the 20th minute when Ha Van Viet dribbled the ball inside the penalty area and was fouled by Van Nam. Four minutes later, Reynolds Alastair successfully converted the penalty, giving PVF-CAND the lead.
After conceding a goal, The Cong Viettel launched a full-scale attack. Pedro Henrique nearly equalized with a free-kick that went just wide of the post in the 31st minute. In the second half, the pressure intensified. Wesley Nata's dangerous header was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Sy Huy. Then, in the 65th minute, Dinh Xuan Tien's follow-up header hit the crossbar.
After many attempts, The Cong Viettel finally found the equalizer in the 76th minute. From a precise cross by Phan Tuan Tai, Dinh Xuan Tien controlled the ball skillfully with his chest before finishing into the net of PVF-CAND.
The final minutes were tense with many clashes. Despite having more opportunities, The Cong Viettel could not score the decisive goal and had to settle for a disappointing draw at home.
