Vietnam Bodybuilding wins 8 world gold medals

The Vietnamese bodybuilding team participated in the tournament in Korea with 22 athletes (13 men, 9 women), competing in 26/51 events. The medal winning ability of Vietnamese athletes in the women's events: Bodybuilding, classical, fitness; mixed doubles event and men's bodybuilding events in the light weight categories: 55kg, 60kg, 65kg and 70kg.

Vietnamese bodybuilding achieves highest ranking ever at world championship

Closing the first competition day on November 9, the Vietnamese bodybuilding team won 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. The gold medals on this competition day were brought home thanks to Pham Van Mach (55kg men's), Dinh Kim Loan (55kg women's), Bao Quoc Vuong (65kg men's), Ho Huy Binh (70kg men's) and Nguyen Thi Kim Dung (fitness women, height up to 1m65). Notably, this is the 6th time in the career of the 47-year-old bodybuilder Pham Van Mach has won the world championship.

On the second day of competition, November 10, the Vietnamese bodybuilding team won 2 more gold medals thanks to the efforts of Pham Van Phuoc (men's classical category, height up to 1m60) and Tran Hoang Duy Thuan/Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa (mixed pairs).

On the third day of competition, November 11, two athletes Nguyen Thi Kim Dung and Tran Thi Cam Tu won the gold and silver medals respectively in the women's classical bodybuilding category with a height of up to 1m65. In addition, the Vietnamese bodybuilding team also won two runner-up positions in the men's and women's team categories. It is worth noting that this is the first time Vietnamese bodybuilding has won a ranking in the men's team category at a world competition.

At the end of this year's world championship, the Vietnamese bodybuilding team won a total of 8 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 4 bronze medals, ranking third overall after India and Mongolia. This is also the highest ranking of Vietnamese bodybuilding in the history of participating in the tournament.
