Mr. Nong Quoc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , said: In the context of globalization, the application of the Photovoice method to interpret, introduce and promote heritage values associated with tourism development is highly feasible and suitable for the trend. The ethnic communities in the Central Highlands are currently using Smartphone devices with the function of recording and broadcasting images, accounting for over 60%. Many members of the ethnic communities in the Central Highlands have used the function of recording and broadcasting recorded images on social networking sites. However, most of the activities of recording and broadcasting recorded images on social networking sites only stop at meeting and serving personal needs, not mastering the techniques of recording and editing images...

By participating in the training course, trainees will change their knowledge and skills in identifying and selecting heritage to introduce, selecting content to record and broadcast images with a clear purpose, and techniques for recording and replaying images. At the same time, they will learn the skills to create recording products with better quality content, images and sounds. Through the customs, rituals and traditional performances of the community to record, collect, edit, connect images, sounds and introductions to form stories of cultural life through their own perspective.

According to Mr. Lai Duc Dai - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province, the model that will be deployed and implemented will be a sustainable development measure to protect cultural resources, intangible cultural heritage and improve the livelihoods of the community by promoting tourism development. Through the training course, trainees will have a deeper understanding of the value and role of heritage in community life, and be aware of applying the Photovoice method to introduce, interpret, preserve and promote heritage associated with tourism development. The new point that the training course brings is that the community itself preserves and promotes the value of its own cultural heritage.

Applying the Photovoice method will help the community proactively and creatively preserve and promote their nation's cultural heritage, while creating opportunities to directly participate in and benefit from heritage interpretation and promotion activities associated with tourism development.
