Báo Dân tríBáo Dân trí17/07/2024

Accordingly, candidate number 40020xxx in Dak Lak achieved 8 points in mathematics, 8.75 points in literature, 9.25 points in history, 9.5 points in geography, and 9.75 points in civics .

This candidate's score in the C00 subject group (Literature, History, Geography) is 27.5. In the C19 subject group (Literature, History, Civic Education), the candidate achieved 27.75 points. Notably, in the C20 subject group (Literature, Geography, Civic Education), the candidate from Dak Lak scored 28 points.

These are all very high scores and place the candidates with the highest scores in Group C.

However, in the English subject, this candidate's score is displayed as 0 points.

According to regulations , with a failing grade in English, a candidate faces the possibility of failing the 2024 high school graduation exam.

However, another possibility is that the candidate does not take the English exam because they have been exempted from it .

Last year, three candidates in Nam Dinh province, who were exempt from the English exam due to having valid IELTS certificates, still registered to take the exam to obtain scores for university admission.

On the day of the exam, the candidates changed their minds and decided not to participate, but the system still recorded their previous registration and displayed a score of 0.

In this case, the student did not fail to graduate.

A candidate in Hanoi also scored 25.75 in the C00 subject group with 8 in Literature, 8.75 in History, and 9 in Geography, but only 1 point in English. Because they failed the English exam, this candidate did not graduate from high school.

Most notably, a student in Hai Phong who scored 26.65 in the B00 subject group (mathematics, chemistry, biology) – a score high enough to be admitted to the medical program at Hanoi Medical University – failed to graduate due to a one-point difference in physics.

The 2024 high school graduation exam had over 1 million candidates nationwide. The exam results were announced this morning by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The top scorer in the A00 group is a candidate from Thai Binh province with 29.6 points. This is also the same score as the top scorer in the A01 group from Ho Chi Minh City.

The top scorer in the B00 group is from Hai Phong with 29.55 points.
