This year, the school recruited 140 students for 4 specialized classes, including two specialized Literature classes, one History class and one Geography class, each class with 35 students. Except for the Literature class, which increased by 4 targets, the remaining two specialized classes remained unchanged compared to last year. The school also decided to stop enrolling non-specialized classes according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The school also notes that for students with the same admission score and at the bottom of the list, the school will in turn prioritize candidates with excellent student awards at the provincial level (the winning subject must be a specialized exam subject), then Candidates have an IELTS score of 4.5 or higher, or another equivalent certificate, and finally, the average foreign language score of 7 semesters (except for the second semester of grade 9) is considered.
Exam registration documents are filled out and submitted online from April 15 to May 4 (the admission council does not accept in-person exam registration documents). The school will have announcements and specific instructions for registering for the exam via the website.
The school also plans to announce exam results and admission results for specialized classes before June 28.
Last year, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities recruited 170 10th graders, of which 66 were Literature majors, 35 were History majors, 35 were Geography majors and 34 were high quality subjects.
