Customers mainly come to buy small decorative items, so the daily revenue at Ms. Mến's shop is not much.

However, shop owners still hope for increased customer numbers in the two days leading up to Christmas, when people will be shopping and decorating their homes. The main items being sold during the Christmas season are velour-lined Christmas trees, wax flowers, paper flowers, gift wrapping, teddy bears, etc. Prices for Christmas trees range from 30,000 to 200,000 VND per tree, depending on size and material. Wax and paper flowers cost from 40,000 VND per bunch of three to around 500,000 VND per bunch, depending on color and style. Gift wrapping and teddy bears cost from 10,000 to 100,000 VND, depending on type and size…

Some shops reported that their revenue this Christmas season wasn't very high. Ms. Men, the owner of a shop selling Christmas trees and paper flowers at Kinh Cung market in Kinh Cung town, Phung Hiep district, said she sells between 100,000 and 200,000 VND worth of goods each day. While the number of customers is low this year, she hopes to sell more in the last two days before Christmas.
