Implantable device helps paralyzed people walk again

According to the work published in the journal Nature, Gert-Jan Oskam, a 40-year-old Dutchman who was paralyzed in a cycling accident 12 years ago, had an electronic device implanted in his brain. When he thought about walking, signals were sent to his legs via a second implant in his spine, allowing him to walk.
