However, due to the large number of customers at the supermarket, I had to wait 1 day to finish installing the machine.”
Not only are electronics supermarkets busy, but air conditioner installation and repair service providers are also working at full capacity. Mr. Nguyen Tan Phat, Thanh Phat Refrigeration (Thanh Duc commune), said: “This whole month, the demand for air conditioner repair has increased, so the workload has also increased a lot. I have to assign more people to help. The number of customers this year has doubled compared to last year, so the technical staff are working at full capacity.”
During the hot season, there is a lot of work, so the income of electricians is quite high. Normally, the cost of maintaining and installing a new air conditioner is from 300,000 to 400,000 VND depending on the capacity of the machine, gas refilling is an additional 150,000 to 300,000 VND, and repair is from 200,000 to 500,000 VND depending on the error. On average, an electrician earns about 1.5 to 2 million VND/day, and a monthly income of about 40 million VND. But this income only lasts for 3 months during the peak of the hot season.
