Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Quality Management Department (Ministry of Education and Training), said that the grading of the 2023 high school graduation exam has been underway since June 30th. According to the plan, the exam results will be announced on July 18th.
According to the Director of the Quality Management Department, the grading process was implemented in localities immediately after the exam ended.
The Ministry of Education and Training continues to direct, guide, and strengthen inspection, examination, and supervision to ensure the effective implementation of all stages, including exam grading, data comparison of exam scores, announcement of exam results, exam review, consideration for high school graduation, and university admissions.
Inspection teams from the national examination steering committee and inspection teams from the Ministry of Education and Training will inspect the grading process at examination boards throughout the grading period.
The Ministry of Education and Training requires localities to strictly and seriously implement the procedures for grading essay exams, multiple-choice exams, and reviewing exam papers, ensuring compliance with the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training, with 24/7 camera surveillance in the exam grading rooms.
Strengthening the information technology infrastructure is crucial to ensure smooth and uninterrupted announcement of exam results; simultaneously, we must be ready to assist candidates in changing their university and college application preferences after the exam results are released.
A representative from the Ministry of Education and Training stated that the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam will be announced at 8:00 AM on July 18th.
The examination registration units will receive appeals and compile a list of appeals from July 18th to July 27th, organize the review of exam papers (if any) no later than August 5th; and complete the consideration for high school graduation after the review no later than August 12th.
For university applicants, from July 10th to 30th, there is no limit to the number of applications and adjustments to university admission preferences on the Ministry of Education and Training's system.
Candidates will have 7 days to pay the application fee, from July 31st to August 6th, 2023.
Candidates will receive their results (cut-off scores) on August 22nd and confirm their enrollment for the first round before 5 PM on September 6th, 2023.
For health and teacher training programs, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the minimum quality assurance threshold for admission on July 25, 2023. Based on this, universities offering these programs will set their own admission scores.
In 2023, the application period for university admissions was only 20 days (compared to one month in 2022). Candidates also learned about the cutoff scores and enrolled three weeks earlier than the September 17th and 30th deadlines of last year.
