(NLĐO) - Huynh Thi My Anh is a rare case because in the past 10 years, the International University has only had two valedictorians who maintained a full scholarship throughout their entire course of study.

On the afternoon of November 23rd, the International University (a member of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) held a graduation ceremony for its students and honored the valedictorians.

As one of the two valedictorians honored at the graduation ceremony, Huynh Thi My Anh is a new graduate in accounting with a score of 92.8/100.

Speaking with a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper , My Anh said that four years ago, when she was a student at Luong The Vinh Specialized High School ( Dong Nai ), she was admitted to the International University with a score of 28.95.

The top student at the International University stated that the learning methods in high school and university are very different. In high school, students have many tests and close supervision from teachers, but in university, students must be proactive in their studies. Therefore, in the first semester, due to unfamiliarity with the new methods, her academic results were not as good as expected.

Adapting to the university learning method, in later semesters I studied the materials before class and proactively discussed any issues I didn't understand with the lecturers.

Because of her excellent academic performance, My Anh worked as a teaching assistant from her second year, and in her third year, she participated in a student cultural exchange program in Germany…

Representatives from the International University stated that My Anh is a rare case, as only two students have maintained a full scholarship throughout their entire course of study in the past 10 years, and My Anh is one of them.

At its 18th graduation ceremony in 2024, the International University awarded diplomas to 1,234 undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates.

Besides Huynh Thi My Anh, the school also honored Luu Nguyen Minh Thu, majoring in logistics and supply chain management, with a score of 83.8/100.
