Mike Maignan expressed his frustration during a brief press conference following AC Milan's 2-2 draw against Fiorentina in Serie A's 31st round.

Maignan had a tough day in the game.

In the early hours of April 6th, when a journalist asked the "Rossoneri" players what they needed to revive a season described as a "disaster," Maignan responded sarcastically: "Perhaps we need someone like you. It seems you know how to lift the team's spirits, don't you?"

The French goalkeeper also refuted the reporters' comments that AC Milan's attitude was problematic, citing the ease with which they conceded goals in the opening minutes.

“I don’t see things the way you guys say – we’re playing together. I was angry when we conceded, but the team’s attitude afterwards was the right one. Milan responded well to their opponents in the match, although unfortunately everything only happened after we went behind,” Maignan explained.

At their home ground, San Siro, the "Rossoneri" had a terrible start, conceding 0-2 after just 10 minutes due to an own goal from Malick Thiaw and a goal from Moise Kean. Fortunately for AC Milan, Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic later equalized 2-2, preventing Maignan's team from sinking further into crisis.

After the match, coach Sergio Conceicao also admitted that Milan made avoidable mistakes in the draw with Fiorentina, and that the players' repeated errors could not be rectified. "I take ultimate responsibility for that, because I am the coach," said Conceicao.

Despite equalizing after being two goals down, this result leaves Milan stuck in 9th place in the league table, facing the risk of falling further behind in the race for European qualification.
