
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon visited and listened to presentations about the Dai Trung Mon Gate, Khue Van Cac Pavilion, Dai Thanh Palace, the Doctoral Steles, and the monument to the revered teacher Chu Van An... The two Prime Ministers also enjoyed Quan Ho folk singing - a typical folk song of the Red River Delta region, recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh introduced Prime Minister Christopher Luxon to the history of the Temple of Literature - National University, Vietnam's first university, built nearly 1,000 years ago. In particular, the Prime Minister highlighted the Vietnamese people's tradition of valuing education and respecting teachers; stating that today, the Vietnamese Party and State always consider education and training as a top national priority.

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon expressed his admiration for Vietnam's culture and education, noting that the Temple of Literature - National University is a place that preserves and honors scholarship, and most notably showcases its outstanding values.
New Zealand is one of the world's leading countries in education. Over the years, education and training have been a prominent area of cooperation and a key pillar of the bilateral relationship. The two countries have signed a Strategic Cooperation Plan on Education for the period 2023-2026, and an Education Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Ministry of Education of New Zealand.

New Zealand continues to award 30 scholarships per year for master's and doctoral programs, and maintains its English language training program for Vietnamese civil servants. Since 1992, more than 600 Vietnamese officials have received English language and professional training in New Zealand; over 600 scholarships for secondary school, master's, and doctoral studies from the New Zealand government have been awarded to Vietnamese students.
During the New Zealand Prime Minister's official visit to Vietnam, the two countries upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, agreeing to further promote cooperation in education and training.

At the Education Networking Forum held on the morning of February 26th at the Foreign Trade University, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon announced 45 high school scholarships, 14 university scholarships, and 39 master's and doctoral scholarships from the New Zealand Government for Vietnamese students and researchers.
