
Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies - chaired the working session. EXPANDING INVESTIGATIONS INTO SEVERAL CORRUPTION CASES
In October, the political security situation and social order in the area continued to be ensured. The armed forces maintained strict combat readiness, coordinated closely to monitor the situation, and ensured national border security. They proactively advised on and handled situations to prevent complex security and order incidents from occurring.

Authorities have decisively and comprehensively implemented measures to prevent, combat, crack down on, and strictly handle all types of crimes and social evils such as: crimes violating economic and environmental management regulations, drug crimes, high-tech crimes, etc.
Accordingly, law enforcement agencies discovered 65 cases, arrested 86 individuals involved in drug-related crimes, and seized 720 grams of heroin, 208 grams and 1,574 tablets of synthetic drugs, and 10.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Authorities detected 5 cases involving 12 high-tech criminals, primarily engaging in online gambling and fraud via social media. For example, the PC02 unit discovered and apprehended one case involving one individual who committed fraud by forging and selling fake invoices via social media, initially determining the amount of money stolen to be 668 million VND.

Authorities are continuing to expand investigations into several cases of corruption and abuse of power; accordingly, they have prosecuted three defendants in connection with the case of "Abuse of power and authority to appropriate property" that occurred at the Investment and Construction Project Management Board of Tuong Duong district.
The investigation, prosecution, and trial of cases continue to be carried out by the judicial agencies in accordance with the law. A number of cases under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negative practices are being addressed by relevant departments.

Agencies, units, and localities should continue to pay attention to the work of receiving citizens and handling and resolving complaints, denunciations, petitions, and feedback from citizens.
Efforts to combat smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, prohibited goods, substandard goods, and food safety and hygiene violations have been intensified; civil enforcement has seen many positive changes; and fire prevention, firefighting, and search and rescue operations have received due attention.

INTENSIFY THE FIGHT AGAINST ALL TYPES OF CRIME, ESPECIALLY FRAUD.
Based on the forecast of the situation in the coming period, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested the armed forces to continue maintaining the number of personnel on standby for combat readiness; coordinate with local authorities to organize patrols and control to protect border sovereignty and maritime territories, ensuring national security and social order in the area; effectively carry out the recruitment and handover of troops, avoid substitutions, and conduct extensive propaganda campaigns…

Agencies within the bloc intensified their efforts to monitor the situation and ensure security; providing absolute protection for important provincial events, high-ranking delegations of the Party and State, and international guests visiting and working in Nghe An.
Continue to address and resolve complex and prominent issues that are of public concern; focus on effectively handling and resolving complex issues at the grassroots level, avoiding passivity and surprises; ensure school security, especially in preventing and combating school violence.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also requested intensified efforts to combat and suppress all types of crimes and violations of the law, especially crimes against social order, drug crimes, gambling crimes, high-tech crimes, economic crimes, environmental crimes, and fraud;…
Strengthen forest management and protection; prevent and control floods and storms; promptly coordinate the handling of illegal trading and transportation of prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, and food safety violations; combat, prevent, and strictly punish acts of smuggling, production, trading, storage, and illegal use of fireworks.

Coordinate and effectively carry out the work of detecting, transferring, receiving, classifying, and resolving complaints and reports about crimes; recommending prosecution, arrest, detention, investigation, and handling of crimes...
Strengthen the detection and handling of corruption and negative practices through inspection, supervision, investigation, handling of complaints, and investigation of information about crimes; strengthen the recovery of assets lost or misappropriated in corruption, economic, and negative practice cases.
Party committees and authorities at all levels will continue to effectively carry out the work of receiving citizens, engaging in direct dialogue with citizens, and handling citizens' feedback and suggestions in accordance with regulations; focusing on resolving cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
