Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet has been promoted to the rank of General.

Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, has been promoted from Lieutenant General to General.

On the morning of July 14th, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong presided over the ceremony to announce and present decisions on the promotion of military officers to the rank of General and Lieutenant General; and the promotion of police officers to the rank of Lieutenant General.

The President of Vietnam presented the decision to promote Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, to the rank of General.

Accordingly, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, has been promoted from Lieutenant General to General.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Deputy Minister of National Defence ; Mr. Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Minister of National Defence; Mr. Nguyen Truong Thang, Deputy Minister of National Defence; and Mr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, were promoted from Lieutenant General to General.

Mr. Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, have been promoted from Lieutenant General to General.

At the ceremony, President Luong Cuong warmly congratulated the seven officers who were promoted in rank and grade; affirming that this is a recognition and high appreciation from the Party, the State, and the people for their contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The President also emphasized that those promoted in rank and position today are all outstanding cadres of the Party, the State, and the People's Armed Forces; they have all received basic, systematic training, risen through the ranks from their units and grassroots levels; and have been tempered and tested through many positions, fields, and work environments.

Regardless of the circumstances, they consistently demonstrate strong political resolve, impeccable revolutionary moral character, and exemplary dedication and responsibility in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, maintaining political security, and social order.

The President of Vietnam presented decisions promoting leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense to the rank of General.

On behalf of those promoted in rank and position, General Trinh Van Quyet expressed his honor and profound gratitude for the leadership, education, and training provided by the Party and State, directly by the Central Military Commission and the Central Party Committee of the Public Security Ministry; the sincere assistance from central ministries and agencies, localities, the people nationwide, and all officers and soldiers of the armed forces and the People's Public Security over the past years.

General Trinh Van Quyet said that this is not only an honor and source of pride for himself and his family, but also a shared honor and pride for the heroic People's Army and People's Police; at the same time, it is also a new and extremely heavy responsibility that the Party, the State, and the people have entrusted to him.

General Trinh Van Quyet affirmed that he will continue to thoroughly understand the President's directives; remain absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people; wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people; constantly strive, cultivate, and refine his revolutionary moral qualities; actively study and follow President Ho Chi Minh's teachings on the qualities of a general: Intelligence - Courage - Humanity - Trustworthiness - Integrity - Loyalty; and be ready to accept and fulfill all tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, the Army, and the people.
