DNO - Da Nang International Airport collaborated with the University of Technology (Da Nang University) to organize a workshop on "Introducing Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications in the Aviation Industry".

The workshop aims to disseminate AI technology and gradually apply AI tools widely in the digital transformation process within the administrative and operational departments of Da Nang International Airport.

At the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Nang Hung Van (Da Nang University of Technology) shared fundamental knowledge and successful practical models of AI deployment at major airports worldwide , while also introducing solutions that can be applied in Vietnam during the current digital transformation phase. These solutions include: intelligent ground control systems, facial recognition for security and passenger procedures, and real-time passenger flow forecasting to optimize operational resources…

In particular, the workshop opened up new perspectives on the practical application of AI in Vietnamese businesses. Many specific solutions were proposed, from using AI in business management, analyzing passenger behavior, optimizing flight plans, to deploying chatbots for automated customer support and intelligent baggage tracking systems… AI is the key to optimizing operations and enhancing passenger experience. Introducing artificial intelligence into the aviation industry is not just a trend, but is gradually becoming an essential requirement.

In addition to collaborating with Da Nang University of Technology (Da Nang University), Duy Tan University, etc., Da Nang International Airport will continue to cooperate with the Da Nang City Department of Science and Technology in promoting innovative models in the field of civil aviation in the near future.
