Supporting underprivileged students

Many students from disadvantaged backgrounds, those experiencing sudden illnesses, or suffering from serious diseases receive attention and financial support from school leaders and teachers. This helps them cover their study and medical expenses, further strengthening the bond between teachers and students.

While at home, TN Minh (Senior Class 3, Rang Dong Kindergarten, Son Tra Ward) unfortunately suffered severe burns to his left foot. After two weeks of intensive treatment at the hospital, Minh was discharged to continue care at home. Minh's family is in difficult circumstances; his parents do not have stable jobs.

Understanding the child's difficult situation, the management board of Rang Dong Kindergarten called on staff, teachers, and parents to join hands in sharing the burden. After fundraising, the class teacher and representatives of the parent association visited, encouraged, and presented 7 million VND to support the family in covering treatment costs.

At Nguyen Phan Vinh Primary School, the "Effective Public Relations" movement to support underprivileged students has been wholeheartedly embraced by all teachers and staff. Ho Van Bi (class 3/1, Nguyen Phan Vinh Primary School) unfortunately contracted blood poisoning and meningitis, requiring him to miss school for extended hospitalization.

Meanwhile, the family is facing financial difficulties, and the high cost of treatment has exhausted their resources . To support the child in her treatment journey, the Principal of Nguyen Phan Vinh Primary School appealed to all teachers, staff, parents, and benefactors to join hands in providing assistance. Thanks to skillful community mobilization, the school received nearly 68 million VND from kind-hearted individuals and handed it directly to the family so they could focus on treatment.

In implementing the "Effective Mass Mobilization" movement, Da Nang College developed a plan titled "Effective Mass Mobilization to Support Students in Overcoming Difficulties in Vocational Training and Career Development" and implemented it throughout the college.

To implement the plan, the Training and Student Affairs Party Branch of Da Nang College mobilized staff, lecturers, and businesses to contribute funds to establish a student support fund. Recently, the Training and Student Affairs Party Branch awarded 8 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 8 students with particularly difficult circumstances, who are orphans of both parents.

Previously, the Technology and Engineering Party Branch of Da Nang College also raised funds and awarded 18 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, to 18 students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies.

Mr. Vo Duc Tu, Secretary of the Training and Student Affairs Party Branch, shared: “Each gift sent to students is not only material support, but also represents the trust and love that teachers and sponsors have for them. Through this, we hope that they will strive to overcome difficulties, study hard to build a successful life and career, and become useful citizens for society.”
