The family of Mr. Nguyen Duong Tinh, in Group 1A, Duc Xuan Ward, Thai Nguyen Province, whose son is studying at the Vietnam Forestry University, is one of many households in Duc Xuan Ward that has received preferential loans to send their children to vocational training. With 40 million VND from preferential loans disbursed in a timely manner, Mr. Tinh's family has the conditions to help their son pursue his dream of studying.
Mr. Nguyen Duong Tinh said: The procedures related to loan support are implemented by bank staff to each borrower. The preferential loan source has basically met the needs for the children to continue studying, we hope the program will continue to accompany them until the end of the entire study program.
When having children in university, the cost of their children's education is always a concern for many families, especially those with unstable incomes. However, thanks to preferential capital sources deployed promptly, families have more conditions to invest in their children's education.
Since its implementation, thousands of households in the northern mountainous communes of the province have received loans from the program, especially households living in mountainous and disadvantaged areas with a total outstanding loan balance of tens of billions of VND. To effectively deploy policy capital, leaders of savings and loan groups and socio- political organizations are considered as "extended arms" to bring capital to the people.
Ms. Mong Thi Cham, Head of the Savings and Loan Group, Group 1A, Duc Xuan Ward, said: Through preferential loan programs of the Social Policy Bank, the Savings and Loan Group has coordinated with the residential group to guide people on loan procedures, ensuring the correct process and time, to help borrowers have financial resources for their children before the new school year.
Preferential loans from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies not only help reduce the financial burden, but also motivate students to continue studying, grow and contribute back to the community. This is a sustainable investment for the future of the country.
Mr. Tran Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the Transaction Office of Bac Kan Social Policy Bank, said: The preferential loan policy for students is being implemented with an interest rate of 6.6%/year, a loan limit of 4 million VND/month for 10 months, equivalent to 40 million VND, so it basically solves the learning needs of students. The bank always has enough capital to meet the demand for preferential credit programs.
Up to now, the total outstanding balance of the student loan program of the unit in the areas of Bac Kan, Duc Xuan wards, Phong Quang commune has reached over 370 billion VND with 335 customers borrowing capital for 372 students studying at the schools. The program has really solved the financial problem for many families with children studying, especially at the time of preparing to enter the new school year.
