Tens of thousands of fake NGK spark plugs destroyed

On August 23, Market Management Team No. 4 destroyed tens of thousands of fake NGK spark plugs in the presence of relevant authorities and Niterra Vietnam Co., Ltd. - the representative of the industrial property rights holder for the NGK trademark.

Previously, on July 17, 2024, at Km 287, National Highway 18A, Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province, Market Management Team No. 4 (Quang Ninh Province Market Management Department) coordinated with functional forces to discover a subject gathering 11,200 fake NGK brand motorcycle spark plugs for transportation and sale. After investigating the violation, this subject was administratively fined 102.5 million VND, and all 11,200 fake NGK brand spark plugs were required to be destroyed according to the law.

This not only helps protect the rights of intellectual property owners in Vietnam, avoids huge losses in business activities, protects the reputation of enterprises in the market, but also protects the rights and legitimate interests of many consumers who trust NGK branded products. Thereby, it contributes significantly to maintaining and developing a healthy and transparent business environment for enterprises in Quang Ninh in particular and the whole country in general, especially foreign enterprises in Vietnam.
