On August 23rd, Market Management Team No. 4 organized the destruction of tens of thousands of counterfeit NGK spark plugs in the presence of relevant authorities and Niterra Vietnam Co., Ltd. - the representative of the industrial property rights holder for the NGK trademark.
Previously, on July 17, 2024, at Km 287, National Highway 18A, Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province, Team 4 of the Market Management Department (Quang Ninh Provincial Market Management Department) coordinated with other functional forces to discover an individual stockpiling 11,200 counterfeit NGK motorcycle spark plugs for transport and sale. Following an investigation, the individual was fined 102.5 million VND and ordered to destroy all 11,200 counterfeit NGK spark plugs in accordance with the law.
This action not only helps protect the intellectual property rights of owners in Vietnam, preventing significant losses in business operations and safeguarding the reputation of businesses in the market, but also protects the legitimate rights and interests of many consumers who trust NGK branded products. Through this, it makes a significant contribution to maintaining and developing a healthy and transparent business environment for businesses in Quang Ninh in particular and the whole country in general, especially foreign businesses in Vietnam.
