TikToker Mr. Pips accused of financial fraud: Additional suspects charged.

On December 9th, on the sidelines of the 20th session of the Hanoi People's Council, a leader of the Hanoi People's Procuracy stated that the unit is coordinating with the Hanoi Police to expand the investigation into a fraud ring that appropriated assets online, involving Pho Duc Nam (30 years old, residing in Ba Ria - Vung Tau , also known as TikToker Mr. Pips).

According to this source, the People's Procuracy of Cau Giay District ( Hanoi ) previously approved the indictment of Pho Duc Nam, Le Khac Ngo (34 years old, residing in Hanoi), and 24 others for the crimes of fraud, failure to report a crime, and money laundering. After taking over the investigation, the Hanoi City Police have indicted several other defendants.

"This group organized the fraud using the model of securities brokerage firms; once victims were lured in, they couldn't get out. To date, authorities are still investigating and searching for victims to reach a final conclusion," this leader said.

Regarding those who have been prosecuted, this official stated that the Hanoi City Police will soon hold a press conference to provide detailed information about the incident.

Previously, the Hanoi People's Procuracy, in coordination with the Hanoi Police, continued to expand its investigation into a network of online fraud and property appropriation. Currently, the total amount of assets seized and frozen by law enforcement agencies from the suspects is approximately over 5,000 billion VND.

Authorities have decided to initiate criminal proceedings and indict Pho Duc Nam (aka Tiktoker Mr Pips; born in 1994, residing in Ward 8, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province); Le Khac Ngo (born in 1990, residing in Phu Dien Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi City) and 24 other defendants for the crimes of "Fraudulent appropriation of property," "Failure to report a crime," and "Money laundering" as stipulated in Articles 174, 390, and 324 of the Penal Code.

TikToker Mr. Pips (Phó Đức Nam) is famous for his videos showcasing his luxurious lifestyle and teaching how to make money, with hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok and YouTube.
