Since July 1, 2025, local judicial work has faced immense pressure. In just under 10 months, communes have processed over 89,000 civil registration cases and nearly 212,000 authentication cases. In central administrative units such as Thuan Hoa and Phu Xuan wards, the volume of documents has increased dramatically, putting pressure on staff who have not been given additional positions.
Delegates engaged in frank discussions, pointing out the main obstacles slowing down the modernization of the judicial sector: Judicial officials have to take on many tasks outside their area of expertise, such as inspection and citizen reception, leading to a lack of focus on their main duties; computer systems in many units do not meet the minimum configuration requirements according to Circular 1993 of the Ministry of Justice , frequently experiencing system errors; online implementation has not been truly effective, as citizens still have to bring original documents in person for verification, causing inconvenience and wasting time.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Director of the Department of Justice, commended the efforts of the grassroots judicial officials, affirming that the Department of Justice will advise the City People's Committee to soon supplement resources, upgrade equipment, and propose to the Ministry of Justice to thoroughly fix software errors. The highest goal is to optimize the system, determined to prevent errors or delays in serving the people under the new management model.
