This is the third consecutive year that the Imagine Cup Junior 2024 competition is being held in Vietnam. Outstanding teams will submit their entries to the Imagine Cup Junior competition, implemented globally by Microsoft. For two consecutive years, 2022 and 2023, Vietnam had teams that made it into the top 10 worldwide.

According to the organizers, participating in the competition will introduce students to the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and network security.

The rapid development of AI is reshaping the world and how people think and work. To prepare for the future, high school students need to be equipped with the skills to adapt to the rapid changes in technology.

Therefore, in the AI for Good theme for students aged 13-18, the competition added a lesson on generative AI. Imagine Cup Junior 2024 also has a theme specifically for students aged 5-12 called Tech for Good , which includes lessons designed especially for beginners.

Besides the launch ceremony, the program also included training and workshops with an AI course taught directly by experts from the Aptech Group. This was the largest AI course ever held, with over 2,000 students from primary, secondary, and high schools nationwide.

Mr. To Hong Nam, Deputy Director of the Information Technology Department (Ministry of Education and Training), hopes that the competition will ignite a passion for exploring and applying technology, especially artificial intelligence, among students, aiming to shape the character of future digital citizens.
