Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Tinh Bien Town Nguyen Thi Thuy Kieu said: “In recent times, implementing digital transformation has been a key task, actively implemented by all sectors and localities of the town. Thereby, contributing to raising people's awareness of the necessity of applying digital transformation to life. Up to now, many digital products and services have been applied, serving people and businesses more promptly and effectively. The application of digital technology in social life is increasingly popular and highly effective."

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Kieu, the People's Committee of Tinh Bien Town has requested sectors and localities to promote digital transformation in public administrative transactions, in management and implementation of political tasks in localities and units. Specifically, applying digital technology to serve the prevention and control of COVID-19, online teaching and learning, e-commerce, etc.

To date, 50% of the town's adult population has a smartphone; 50% of the population (15 years of age and older) has a payment transaction account at a bank or other licensed organization; 54.9% of households have registered for the Internet; 100% of businesses and business households use electronic invoices; 20% of small and medium-sized enterprises use digital platforms...

Youth Union members of Tinh Bien town actively participate in digital transformation

In particular, the People's Committee of Tinh Bien Town has promoted the implementation of e-government. Currently, 100% of agencies at all levels effectively apply document management and executive direction software (iOffice) using digital signatures; 100% of incoming and outgoing documents are exchanged on the software; 100% of agencies, departments, branches, unions, and People's Committees of communes and wards effectively use the province's email system; ensure 100% of equipment, transmission lines and arrange staff to be on duty in online meeting rooms when there are meetings; maintain and operate online meeting rooms...

“The Town People's Committee also requires sectors and localities in the process of implementing digital transformation to take people and businesses as the center, subject, target and driving force, in order to provide quality services more quickly. Thereby, helping them enjoy the results of digital transformation in a practical and effective way, towards forming digital citizens and a digital society throughout the town,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Kieu.

Youth Pioneer

Secretary of Tinh Bien Town Youth Union Nguyen Duy Phuong informed: “Recently, we coordinated with the Town Department of Culture and Information to launch “Tinh Bien Youth with Digital Transformation” in 2023, aiming to raise awareness of Project 06/CP and digital transformation for Youth Union members and local people. After the launching ceremony, Youth Union members directly propagated and guided people to install SmartAngiang and VNeID applications; propagated the use of online public services and cashless payments in Chi Lang ward; paraded and promoted propaganda on the main roads of the town…”.

In addition, Tinh Bien Town Youth Union requires its affiliated Youth Unions to establish a "Community Digital Transformation Team" to support digital capacity building for youth, children and people; organize a "Peak Volunteer Activity Day to support people in performing online public services" in Youth Month 2023; organize a team to provide guidance and direct support at the "one-stop" department of communes, wards, agencies, units, for people and businesses.

From the achieved results, Tinh Bien Youth Union continues to promote its pioneering role in implementing digital transformation. Specifically, further strengthening propaganda andeducation through activities and training conferences on digital transformation; applying social networks to improve the effectiveness of propaganda, information exchange, and management of the Youth Union; proactively advising and giving suggestions to Party committees, heads of agencies, units, and localities on solutions to promote digital transformation in all areas of activity.

“With the spirit of “wherever there is a need, there are youth, wherever there is difficulty, there are youth”, along with the support of Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches, unions and society, we believe that the activities of Tinh Bien youth with digital transformation will continue to reap many positive results, contributing to promoting digital transformation in the town” - Mr. Nguyen Duy Phuong affirmed.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of An Giang, Nguyen Thanh Hai, the coordination between Tinh Bien Town Youth Union and the Department of Culture and Information will create momentum to promote digital transformation in the locality. On that basis, it will actively contribute to the implementation of the criteria for building a civilized urban area in Tinh Bien Town in the coming time.
