On the evening of June 4, in Hanoi, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor solemnly organized the 6th "Glory of Vietnam" program in 18, practically celebrating the 2023th anniversary of Uncle Ho's call for patriotic emulation (June 75, 11-6/1948/11), welcoming the trade union congresses at all levels and the XIII Congress of Vietnam Trade Union.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that the "Glory of Vietnam" program is a major event of profound socio-political significance to honor national heroic collectives and individuals, and outstanding examples of outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement, national construction and defense. It is increasingly becoming an event of great prestige in society, attracting the attention of people nationwide, having a positive impact and leaving a good mark in society.
Over 17 times of organization, 258 groups and individuals with particularly outstanding achievements in various fields of life were selected and honored. The typical examples honored in the program have constantly promoted their qualities and experiences, continued to devote themselves to serving the people and the society.
Thereby, the event created a strong and widespread motivation, contributing to promoting patriotic emulation movements, making practical contributions to the development and prosperity of the country.
Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien highly appreciated the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for taking the initiative to organize the program. Since then, it has created a far-reaching influence in society, attracting the working class and working people to enthusiastically emulate, set up excellent achievements, and contribute to the construction and defense of the Fatherland.
Comrade Do Van Chien stated: In the first 6 months of 2023, in the context of the world and the region with many unpredictable changes, the entire Party, people and army united in solidarity to take advantage of favorable opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges, and strive to achieve many important and comprehensive results in all fields.
The macro-economy is maintained, economic development is restored, social security is ensured, defense and security are maintained; Party building, anti-corruption and anti-corruption work, achieved important results. People's trust in the Party and State is constantly being raised.
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front stated that it is forecasted that in the coming time, our country will continue to face many difficulties and challenges. "That requires us to have high determination, drastic action, and organize more extensive emulation movements to be able to complete the set goals and tasks in 2023," emphasized Comrade Do Van Chien.
He suggested that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor continue to study and thoroughly grasp the content of Directive 34-CT/TW of the Politburo on continuing to innovate the work of emulation and commendation; Continue to be deeply imbued with Ho Chi Minh's thought on patriotic emulation: "If you love your country, you must emulate, those who emulate are the most patriotic".
