Le Thuy, February 5, 2015
Visiting the Memorial House of the late General Vo Nguyen Giap, I was deeply moved as I lit an incense stick to commemorate Comrade Vo Nguyen Giap – Anh Van, the outstanding and close disciple of President Ho Chi Minh, the General, Minister of National Defense, the first Commander-in-Chief, and the elder brother of the heroic Vietnamese People's Army; a remarkably talented military leader who made immense contributions and exceptionally outstanding achievements to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The name, career, character, and immense contributions of the late General are deeply etched in the hearts of the people; he was a General of the people, forever remembered in the history of the nation.
Signed
Nguyen Phu Trong
